As a certified fire advisor, you must be recertified every 5 years, with the exception that the first recertification begins after 4 years.
It’s 4 years ago the first Fire advisors got certified at DBI Certification A/S, and thus the recertification begins.
The decision about recertification is made on the basis of a review of a project from within the certification period.
The purpose is to assess the certified person's new qualifications and competences and to follow up on areas of action from the certification period's yearly inspections
In fire class 2, the project review can be supplemented with an interview, while it in fire class 3/4 and in the case of third-party certified, is always followed up with an oral presentation.
